Norge

Just back from a 10 day tour of Northern Sweden and Norway. After a huge 1800km drive to the Lofoton Islands it was time for some relaxing and of course a little bouldering. These Islands are very stunning with mountains running deep into the surrounding waters. Having just missed the all night sun we did manage to see a sunset at 12:20am, the sun stayed just below the horizon for the next 1hr 30mins. With great weather and many hours of light we spent the next few days exploring this coastal paradise above the arctic circle. During May and June the fishermen of Lofoton spend very long days catching cod which is their main source of income for the whole year, and all through the Islands exist huge drying racks for the cods before they are pakaged and shipped away for the consumers. Lou and I did one half day walk which took us up a small mountain of 600m to no view and just mist however, the walk itself was refreshing as we climbed our way towards a gentle cool breeze and away from the summer warmth. After our stay in Lofoton we took the ferry across to Bodö and continued south along small winding roads to Trondheim and costal again to Harbak.
